✈️ Visiting Canada

For visitors, and for the citizens and PRs inviting them — the visa to enter (TRV), the document that sets how long you stay (Visitor Record), and the long-stay Super Visa for parents and grandparents.

Three different documents — people mix them up constantly

  • TRV (visitor visa) — lets you travel to Canada and ask to enter.
  • Visitor Record — sets or extends how long you may stay once you are here. It is not a visa and does not guarantee re-entry.
  • Super Visa — a multi-entry visa specifically for parents and grandparents, with much longer stays per visit.
