    Facebook groups for international students at your specific school were more useful than the big listing sites for me, less competition, and people post sublets that never make it to Kijiji.

    Seconding school-specific groups. Also budget for first plus last month's rent as a deposit, a lot of first-timers don't realize that's the norm here.
