Do I need a "designated" employer, or will any Atlantic job offer work?

I have a lead on a job in Nova Scotia. Does the employer need any special status for the Atlantic Immigration Program?

It has to be a designated employer — companies apply to become designated under AIP before they can hire through it, so a regular offer from a non-designated Atlantic employer won't count for this program. Ask the employer directly whether they're AIP-designated. If they're not, one of the province's own PNP streams might be the better route instead.
