Do I need a job offer for BC PNP, or can I apply on skills alone?

sanju_devstudent
I have a strong profile (master's, good IELTS, a few years of experience) but no BC job offer yet. Can I get into the BC PNP pool on skills alone the way some provinces allow?

BC's Skills Immigration streams are mostly employer-driven — most of them expect a full-time, indeterminate job offer from a B.C. employer, and BC invites candidates from a points-based registration pool (the Skills Immigration Registration System) rather than accepting everyone who's eligible. There isn't a general "no job offer, apply on skills alone" route the way Saskatchewan's Occupation In-Demand works. Line up a genuine B.C. offer first, and check the current stream list on WelcomeBC. See /guides/pr/pnp/bc. General information from my own experience, not legal advice — for anything specific to your file, a licensed RCIC or immigration lawyer can look at your actual documents.

Worth knowing the registration is scored and competitive — meeting the minimum gets you into the pool, not automatically invited. Keep your Express Entry profile active in parallel so you're not betting everything on one province.
