I studied in another province — does that weaken my Manitoba connection?

oakville_grad23
I did my diploma in Ontario but I'm open to settling in Manitoba. Does studying elsewhere hurt my MPNP chances?

It doesn't disqualify you, but study or work in another province doesn't build Manitoba-specific ties on its own, and MPNP is specifically looking at your connection to Manitoba. A real job offer from a Manitoba employer, or close family living there, is what actually strengthens it. Be honest about how strong the connection genuinely is — overstating it is a common refusal reason. General information from my own experience, not legal advice — for anything specific to your file, a licensed RCIC or immigration lawyer can look at your actual documents.
