2026 allocation is way up (91,500 nationally) — does that mean Ontario's actual quota went up too?

sanju_devstudent
I read the national PNP allocation jumped a lot for 2026. Does that automatically mean more spots for Ontario specifically, or could other provinces have gotten the bulk of the increase?

The national PNP allocation for 2026 is 91,500 nominations, up from 55,000 in 2025, and Ontario does get the largest single-province allocation historically, but the exact province-by-province split isn't a fixed ratio and different sources have cited different specific Ontario numbers this year, so don't anchor to a single figure without checking Ontario's own official OINP page for its confirmed 2026 allocation. General information from my own experience, not legal advice — for anything specific to your file, a licensed RCIC or immigration lawyer can look at your actual documents.
