How does the Alberta Express Entry Stream actually pick people?

I have an active Express Entry profile. How does Alberta decide who it invites through its Express Entry stream — is there a separate application I fill out?

Alberta draws candidates from the existing federal Express Entry pool who've expressed interest in Alberta and have ties to the province (a job offer, Alberta education/work, or a relative there). It issues a Notification of Interest, and only then do you apply to AAIP — so you need an active EE profile first, there's no separate standalone points grid you fill in. Alberta rotates which sectors it prioritizes, so watch alberta.ca/aaip for its current focus.
