Do you have a full-time permanent job offer from a Nova Scotia employer?

The Skilled Worker and Nova Scotia Graduate streams both need a Nova Scotia job offer.

The four NSNP streams

On February 18, 2026 the Nova Scotia Nominee Program consolidated ten streams into four. The old streams’ rules were kept as sub-criteria inside the new four. There is no points score: you apply to the stream whose requirements you meet.

  • Skilled Worker ↗ — A full-time permanent job offer from a Nova Scotia employer.
  • Nova Scotia: Express Entry ↗ — An active profile in the IRCC Express Entry system.
  • Entrepreneur ↗ — Net worth ≥ $600,000 CAD ($400,000 if the business is outside Halifax).
  • Nova Scotia Graduate ↗ — A full-time permanent NS job offer in a listed NOC: paramedics 32102, pharmacy technicians 32124, nurse aides 33102, or early-childhood educators 42202.

Separate: Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)

Does the NSNP have a points calculator?

No. The Nova Scotia Nominee Program does not publish a public points score. Eligibility is stream-by-stream against fixed criteria. Nova Scotia does run an Expression of Interest (EOI) selection each month, but there is no published score to calculate — this tool checks which streams your profile may fit.

What changed in the 2026 NSNP consolidation?

As of February 18, 2026, the NSNP’s ten streams were consolidated into four: Skilled Worker, Nova Scotia: Express Entry, Entrepreneur, and Nova Scotia Graduate. The old streams’ eligibility rules were kept as sub-criteria (for example, Construction Worker and Physician now sit inside Skilled Worker). The changes apply only to new EOI submissions after that date.

Is the Atlantic Immigration Program part of the NSNP?

No. The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is a separate federal-provincial program covering Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, and Newfoundland & Labrador. It was not affected by the 2026 NSNP consolidation. Under the AIP, a designated Atlantic employer endorses your job offer and you apply to IRCC directly.
